Sweeties ("we", "our", or "the app") is a couples app that lets partners exchange daily love notes. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: Email address, first name, and username when you create an account.
  • Messages: The notes you send to your partner are stored so both of you can read them.
  • Profile photo: If you choose to upload an avatar, it is stored securely.
  • Device tokens: We store push notification tokens to deliver notifications.
  • Usage data: Anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used (via Firebase Analytics).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver your notes to your partner
  • To show your profile to your connected partner
  • To send push notifications when you receive a new note
  • To maintain your streak and memories
  • To process subscriptions (via RevenueCat and Apple)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with:

  • Your connected partner: Your first name, username, profile photo, and the notes you send.
  • Service providers: Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (payment processing).

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information. Access to user data is strictly limited.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data, messages, and connections are permanently deleted from our servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (visible in the app)
  • Correct your data (edit name, email, password in Settings)
  • Delete your account and all associated data (in Settings)
  • Disconnect from your partner at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Sweeties is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Subscriptions

Sweeties offers optional in-app subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment details. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, which receives only an anonymous user identifier.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
